Default Spare Tire Relocate Bracket

Will I need a Spare Tire Relocate Bracket if I have 17" wheels that have a 4.5" back spacing with 35x12.5's with the stock spare tire mount? I am sure that I will need atleast the Tailgate Spare Tire Isolators still. If anyone could help me with this?

I don't think so. With that back spacing, I think you will be ok.
However, a 35" tire will eventually damage your tailgate, even with isolators. Do yourself a favor and get a new bumper and carrier. Its cheaper to get it now than to have to fix/replace your tailgate and get a bumper later.
There are numerous threads on this topic, if you care to search.

with a 35 it will not fit. It is too big and will touch the bumper. I made my own riser out of plate steel to save $ till I get a new rear bumper & tire carrier. I have a pic on here somewhere. Search 35" tire on stock carrier. Liike mentioned above many posts on this topic.

I just added 35's last week on a wheel with 4.5 backspacing and the bottom of the tire is making contact with the bumper instead of sitting inside the rounded out part of the bumper. So now the tire isn't even sitting straight up and down on the tailgate. Not good. I'm going to get a bumper with tire carrier very soon!

So you think even with the Spare Tire Bracket Reinforcing Kit wouldn't help?

I asked some of the same questions on this forum a couple of weeks ago and the general consensus was that re-enforcing brackets, extensions, etc. that's all just a band-aid fix until you can get a bumper with tire carrier. Something about the bracket extension still putting a lot of stress on the tailgate due to the amount of leverage. I think it would actually be better to have the tire snug up against the tailgate instead of further away.

If a bumper and tire carrier aren't in your future, you may want to consider 34's. A friend of mine has 34's and it sits perfectly on the stock bumper for support and doesn't rattle at all.

^ exactly the farther out the more stress. That is why I just raised mine up. Here is a link of what it looks like without and my fix.

I would say keep the stock tire back there until you can get the AEV or the OR-Fab tire carrier.. Thats what i plan on doing. It might look a bit ridiculous but its better then cracking the tailgate

Either of those will not prevent damage to your tailgate. They only keep the tire from ripping off the sheet metal and falling off. You will still eventually have damage to your hinges or spot welds. Get a new bumper and carrier.
