Default Specific Combo

I can't quite seem to find what I'm looking for, so apologies in advance if this thread has been killed to death.

The vehicle is a 2dr. I am without a doubt lifting this Jeep, but I'd like to enjoy it in stages. First off I can't seem to decide whether I'd like a 16" or 17" wheel. I'm pretty sure a 33" tire will fit on a wheel with a 4.5" backspace, whether it be 16 or 17 inches. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Basically, if any of you have pics to share of a stock height Jeep with aftermarket wheels or stock with a 33" tire I would really appreciate the visual aid. I have always thought Jeeps just look 'right' with the Soft 8 style wheel. Haven't decided on high flotation or an LT tire as my offroading experience is less than limited.

Thanks again in advance, and let the pics fly!

Default 2dr with 32's

I know you wanted pics of the 2dr stock with 33's, but I came close...this is my 2dr with 32's on 16" soft 8's with 5" of backspace. No rubbing, no issues. I am sure 33's would be fine. I had 33's on my stock Rubicon with no issues.

Wow I had no idea the Jeep would like that 'full' with no lift and only 32's on 16's. That's a great looking rig man! I likey.

Now I'll have to contemplate if 33's on a 16 would look too funny. How did you find the Jeep handled on-road with a smaller wheel? I'm thinking my stock 17's are more of a hiderance to handling than anything.

I would say get the 16s you probably would have a better chance on finding a deal on tires. I got the stock 17s and am super jelious of the guy with the procomp 8179s a couple posts above me. I want those rims! I got to wait another 2 weeks. BL are cheap and will fit 33s easy then go with a lift and get 35s.
