Default specs for seat torque?

i got my jeep rained in yesterday at work and need to take the carpet out tonight. i dont want to cut it so i am wanting to take the seats out. it will only be the front seats since i have a 2 door. i will have to uses a big breaker bar or an impact to get the bolts off i know but when tightening them down, does anyone know what torque they should be at? if you dont know the torque, do you know where i can go to find out?

thanks very much for your help.

the cuts that need to be made are very small. it would be a hell of a lot easier to just make the snips than taking the seat out.....

just my 2cents.....

x2 I would just cut it too, so that every time it gets wet you dont have to remove the seats, you wont notice the small cuts

Default Cut it

There is only one small cut that you need to make on both sides next to the front seat. Once back in, you don't even notice it. Cut it!

I had to take mine out to do the heated seats.

I don't know what the torque spec is, but I can tell you mine were on there with about 300 ft lbs from the factory. I had about a 4 foot long breaker bar and stood outside the jeep to get those suckers off. You know you're talking some serious torque when they were too hot to touch when I finally got them off.

haha.. yeah i bet they were pretty seriously tight. if i dont take my seats out i might still put the passenger side seat blet on the floor instead of attached to the seat to make it easier for people to get in the back... when i have the back seat in that is.
