Default Spod with overhead console/cb.

Haven't found anything on the Fourm about this but I'm installing a spod, but I'm running a smitybuilt overhead kit and cb screwed under it.

The cb is an easy fix, but has anyone worked a way to get these two to work together?

Not sure where the cb mount goes but if it's one that places the radio close to the windshield frame ya might have an issue

Sorry about the 2stage reply but if ya want check out my SPOD install and hold up the radio bracket you're more than welcome. Half the fun is"Adapt-Improvise-Overcome" with any install.

The cb was just screwed to the panel above the mirror. I'm more worried about the overhead console mount point.

Trying to get an spod bracket in now and it's gonna be a hack and cut job on the overhead console. Couldn't find anyone who has done this and spod hadn't heard anything either.

Just put the switches on the A-pillar. If your cb goes on the middle overhead, there's no reason why your switches must go there too. I know the SPOD comes with the switch panel, but you don't have to use it or buy it. They sell just the SPOD unit w/ wire harness.

Already got the whole kit. Tried the lower switch frm daystar but the shifters always hits it and I already have to hold it in gear.

Was gonna do the a-piller route but decided to try the out of box route.

I think I'm gonna cut the smittybuilt piece and make it work.
