Default SPOD USE for a ARB CKMTA12 Compressor- Does it Work

All, Thanks for any help in advanced.

I am looking to purchase a CKMTA12 ARB compressor for my 09' JK Rubi. I was also looking to add an SPOD for the control. From reading on SPOD it will run anything 30A or below. The CKMTA12 compressor says it runs at 28A no load, 50A full load. I am afraid that putting the compressor on the SPOD will constantly blow the fuse.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Does it work or should I stay off the SPOD?

Thanks again, RippedRubi

You could use the sPOD to control a separate relay. That is what I did for my engine fan switch.

i have my arb compressor wired up through an SPod. Had to buy a wiring harness from s pod for it to connect plug n play style. You also run the relay and (+/-) wires supplied by ARB from the compressor to the battery.

Thanks for the help.

So, the main power would not run through the SPOD. Only the On/Off relay. Does the ARB connector supplied by SPOD work this way or will I have to make the adjustments in the wiring?

Thanks.

no adjustment needed thats just how it works. the spod pigtail basically replaces the arb wiring harness part that runs into the cab for the switches
