Default Spool in a jk daily driver

Does any one have a spool in the rear jk Dana 44? Do you drive it on the road? And do you brake axles? I'm thinking about getting one but I drive it every day...does any one do this?

I wouldn't think of doing this... I had a 67' Camaro with a spool and it was almost impossible to turn. I would think a Jeep's shorter turning radius would make it worse.

Tire wear would be horrible in the rear even if parts didn't break and you were okay with the bad handling.

It would be tough on tires, it would totaly suck on snow & ice.

Don't do it. I had the rear end of a XJ welded and it barked the tires every time you turned the wheel on black top. Great for offroad, bad for pavement.

Splines are like the cogs or teeth of a gear. The number of splines must match on both the axle and carrier

Sorry just reread your post... You are looking for the spline count... Not what they are. SORRY... Don't know...

IC Locker?

This is a decent overview if you haven't read it yet.
Project-JK.com - Jeep JK Wrangler Resource » Dynatrac Presents - Lockers 101

Non-rubi
The front d30 is 27sp
The rear d44 is 30sp

Are you regearing also? Is so, you'll need a new d30 carrier as well, so you might consider a Truetrac or full case locker instead of just buying a new open carrier.
