Default Spring Isolator Question

I'm in the process of installing a set of rear spring perches (Artec) on my 2012 JK to correct the spring angle. I have a RK 3.5" X-factor lift. I've been using the coil correction wedges that RK provides but they're not really ideal. My question is whether or not you should have some type of spring isolator on the lower spring pad? Where the spring sits on the axle? It is alright to have metal-on-metal here? The new Artec perches just say to sit the spring on there.

The JK in stock form doesn't have a rubber isolator on the lower/axle spring perch front or rear.
