Default spring question

i got a 2013 jk 2dr sport. The only thing really on it are rock sliders and 2.5in pucks. The question I have is after putting my new bumper on and the winch. That should add close to 250lbs to the front of the jeep. I have a set of rubicon unlimited spring. Do you all think with the extra weight and sag from the weight I should add the front springs or will that be to much lift.

What bumper and winch are you using that will add 250lbs? And after you shed the stock bumper.

My front bumper weighs 65lbs and winch weighs 62lbs. Net increase was maybe 100lbs.

Put it on and measure before and after. If you go with more lift than you have now, you'll need to do something to adjust caster.

I think it will be closer to 200lb. I got an or-fab bumper and the ups shipping had 110lbs on it. Don't have the winch year but don't most with steal cable weigh about 100lb??? And over lifted is definitely what I'm trying to NOT do.

Your best bet might be to just wait until they are installed to see how much lift you actually need. Or start looking at some aftermarket leveling coils that are designed for the weight so you have a fairly good idea going into it of where you will end up.

But if you would rather do replacement stock coils - start sifting through this one...

If you want it to be level, you might want to start looking for some aftermarket springs. The stock springs will sag big time with that much weight.

He has a 2-door and is probably running about the lightest factory springs there are. He'd be fine running some of the higher number springs. Guessing he has 14 right now. 18/19 would more than compensate.

Yea got the 14 springs up front and 18s in a box. I just don't want to go to high and mess up drive line angles.
