Trying to find an economical way to build your own lift? I am interested in this info as well.

There has got to be a spring part number or spec info out there that can be crossed to an aftermarket number that could be purchased at your loccal parts store. Figure out shock info and I'm sure that a lift could be assembled on the cheap.

Economical, yes, but also wanting to get the most articulation without going overboard on lift.

I read in a few posts, mostly by TEEJ, that the stock shock extended length is 22". Still looking for the compressed length to find overall stroke.

I believe TEEJ said somewhere on here that the stockers are like 15 1/2.....he also said you could run a 16 to 27 on a stock ride.....That would be allot of flex out of a stock vehicle...

PS.....TEEJ is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to this stuff......the guy scares me sometimes...

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if 4 door deisel springs could be a 1" lift for say a 2 door petrol. Though the shocks are probably the same on all JK's.
I would really like to find these stats so I can compare them to what my local spring shop is offerring me. We could slso use shocks from something else too perhaps, provided the rating matched the weight of the vehicle.
You also need to use this info to work out your bumpstop requirements , or to stop your springs falling out on extreme travel.
