Default Spring Suggestions

2014 JKU
3.5" RE lift with Bilstein 5100 shocks
Mall Crawler/light trail rides

The springs that came with my RE kit are very very stiff. I don't mind a rough ride, but I shouldn't be thrown around when going over a mild speed bump.

Can anyone suggest a slightly softer spring?

Throw a set of JKS JSpec 3.5" coils in there and it'll change your life.

I like the ride my MetalCloak 3.5" coils give, paired with the OME shocks they recommended. Wasn't very impressed with the 5100's, though.

If you decide to look at MC, note that their coils tend to run a bit tall. I imagine the 2.5" coils would probably give about the same height as your current 3.5" RE's.

Sounds to me like the 5100's are causing your issue more than the coils. Have you tried pairing some different shocks with your lift?

I agree with the shock recommendation. My. Buddy purchased an AEV lift for his last jeep and it came with the Blisten shocks. It was definitely a more harsh ride. Swapping the shocks made the difference.
