Default Spring Thing

i know there's no reasoning to what springs go into our Jeeps, but why do some have mixed springs up front?
Ive seen 13/14 and 14/15 combos. i have 13/13 right now and putting in 15/15 up front

There is a crazy amount of spring configurations. Yes the gas tank is part of it. Also hardtop vs soft top also play into it.2dr vs4dr and so on.

Then why aren't they all configured that way? My stock set up is 13/13 in front? Makes no sense. More like they were built after a liquid lunch.

I think they did it on pre 2012 models. On my jku, auto, hard top with max tow came with 17's up front & 59 rears.

Yep my 13 auto hard top max tow had 16/59. My bro none max tow but with tow package had 17/59 and his wife with no tow package has 17/59. No logic
