Default Sprint booster

Well installed my new sprint booster today. Awkward place to work. Had to move a wire harness out of the way a bit. First impression it works like advertised. There is no lag now when you step on the gas. It feels racy now Feels like more power. The word is feels. Have a long drive to work tomorrow (185 km ) so will report on it again. Just one more thing to make the 3.8l run and feel much better.

Default Me, too

I second that request.

I am running the Super Chips Flashpaq now and have enjoyed it, minus the engine pinging from time to time. It seems like the Sprint Booster might be a good way to go (despite the cost, of course!!!), but I would like to know more details, as well.

For example, even with the Flashaq there is still a "lag" between 1700-2100 or so rpm's. The lag improved with the recent Flashpaq update (pedal response), but it is still there.

Also, do people take the Sprint Booster out when they go to the dealership, or just leave it in?

Thanks All

I haven't been on the forum for a while, but I want to bring an update concerning the SprintBooster. It works. It works VERY WELL INDEED. Although the cost is high in my opinion, this is offset by the increase in response that it gives to the jeep.

I also have a Superchips flashpak which improves the performance a bit, but in truth, the SprintBooster added more feel to the Jeep. Yes, I am using both of these products together now, and without problems.

In all honesty, my Jeep really feels 100% better, and I am glad that the 600 dollar investment in these two have really paid off in my contentment in being able to take aChevy Aveo off the line. Seriously, if you are thinking of this product, buy it....you will wonder what the hell you did without it.

Mine went into the stealership last week so I placed the original tune back in, and selected normal setting on the SprintBooster...otherwords....stock.

It felt like it was running on 4 of the 6 cylinders by comparison, I shit you not. What a slug...and this is standard. Anyway, for 600 bucks, I cant go back to that. Jeep is back and retuned now, and I am lovin it.

The immediacy of the throttle response with the Sprint booster will buy you about a tenth of a second in 0-60 time. The feel of that may well be awesome, but the reality is you would get the same results with about 3 additional hp. In my opinion, that makes for a very costly upgrade and one that I don't feel brings enough to the table to justify the price. At $100 or less I would probably own one but to date I'm not separating myself from that much cash for such modest gains.

After reading their website, they basically increase the voltage to the drive-by-wire system. I wonder if there is increase in wear on the electrical system of throttle with an increase in voltage.

Here is their "why it works" speech!

I have been interested in this product. I have wanted to get this but I have a lot of other priorities first than Jeep mods.

After seeing their comment on if you like to mash the throttle often, this product is not for you, I am almost convinced I won't buy one. If I can get the same affect by pushing the pedal down further when I am driving, not sure why I would spend $300+ on a mod that does that for me electronically, only allowing for me to push the pedal in less

I am still on the fence about the purchase, but the more I read on about these type of products, the less I find a need for them.

It comes down to personal preference.

I agree. It seems like it just "pushes the pedal for you" so when you push the pedal 50%, for example, it gives you, say, 80% throttle. I don't know the exact numbers but that is what the idea seems to be.
