Default SprintBooster ??????

Hey all, the post title says it all. I was so excited to hook this thing up after all that I read about it. I followed the directions closely and when I hook it up and start my Jeep, I get the ETC (electronic throttle control) warning light flashing and the throttle does not work. My idle also jumps to around 2,500 RPM's and then drops down a little. As soon as I disconnect it and reconnect my stock harness, everything is normal again.

Did I just get a bum unit or am I missing something?

Did you open the door for five minutes with the ignition off? I installed mine a few weeks ago and it seems to be working fine bit I still think it's a bit pricy for what you get no problems with it for me so far

Its too late tonight. I think I will just return it unless someone has any ideas.

I also installed my Flashpaq and love it. I am using the 87 tune and it is much better than stock.

I tried this, you do not have the key in the ignition and just leave the door open for 5 right?

It's a real shame ya can't take the time to try the advice of some of the forum members to remedy your problem. It sounds like his mind is made up ladies and gentlemen. The same post was made on another forum.

The folks at RIPP said this thing worked "as advertised."

The last ad for this product that I saw in JP magazine spoke about the added settings: "Stock", "Stage 1" and "Stage 2". Anyone know more about this?

The new ones have a button that let's you toggle between stock, medium and agressive throttle response. So far I like the medium setting the best.

Hope it works out. This is one mod on my list that I plan to do in the future.
I'd get a replacement before you write it off.

I ran into the same thing and found out the cable plug on top of the sprint booster was installed incorrectly. I reversed the plug and voila, it worked fine.
