Default Spwing swap help

I'm replacing my stock 2 door 14/56 springs with some 4 door tow pkg 18/59 springs. I'd like to know if I need to put a spacer in the front to level it out or not. I will be adding a Rough Country hybrid stubby bumper, it only weighs 40 pounds, and a Smittybilt winch. I know it's a long shot but any experience with this??

Since most stock Jeeps have a rake, and you plan on adding extra weight to the front, you'll most likely need at least a 1" spacer to level it out.

10-4 on the 1" spacer. Is the winch rope, steel or synthetic? That makes a difference in the weight also.

Steel cable. I have a soft top as well so I'm betting the rear will be slightly taller because of that.

That's good info there! A 1 inch spacer it is. If its a tad lower in the front I'm ok, I just don't want it crazy slanted. Thanks for the help guys!

We did the same swap on our '12 (springs and rubi shocks) and it did a fairly good job of leveling it out; at least a big improvement over where it started. It's got the bestop highrock narrow bumper with x20 8 winch (steel cable) in front.

Note that it is sitting on a slight upward incline in this picture

I made the same spring swap after adding a winch and bumper. Did not use the spacers.

When the Jeep was sitting empty I thought spacers would be needed so I bought them. Then I packed my tools, recovery gear, and camping stuff in the back and the Jeep was level so I returned the spacers and forgot about it. Did not want the Jeep to be a tail-dragger when loaded.

A topless Jeep that sits around almost empty probably needs the front spacers to be level.
