Default Spyderlock wheels need experience!

Well since I'm planning to swap axle rear/front soon with a RJ D60, which is 5 on 5.5, I have to change the wheels, but will keep my 33''.

I'm considering beadlock wheel. I was first interested in Hutchinson rock monster, but the wheel they have for a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern do not have the hub bore diameter of the RJ D60, the wheel is 4.218 (advertise for CJ) and the axle hub diameter is 4.240 (only front the rear hub diameter is the same size as the OE D44).

So the next choice is the Spyderlock but I would like to know if any of you has experience with this wheel. The questions I have is:
- Spyderlock backspacing is 3.5'' I wondering is this will cause too much stress on the front axle?
- How often I should check the torque of the ring's bolt?

I wishes these beadlock but I don't plan to re-torque once a week, once a month will be acceptable.

And I read on the Spyderlock site that you the use of blue lock-tite is recommended.

I'm also surprise that Hutchinson require 75-80 lbs while the Spyderlock require 25 lbs...

And what about leaking the Hutchinson has an O-ring the Spyderlock I don't think, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for your advice and experience.

You might want to check out OMF Performace, you can get beadlock rims from them or can select a wheel of your choice and they can convert it for you. On my RockJocks i changed the bolt pattern to 6 on 5.55 backspace

I thought someone might jump in and answer this. I love my Spyderlocks. They need to be checked monthly or sooner depending how hard that you offroad them. I've never had a problem with them and I've had them for nearly 2 years. I'm thinking about having the centers painted Rescue Green. I get more positive comments on these wheels.

The Spyderlock is a very nice rims
The thick bead lock ring and big Diameter bolts help eliminate a lot of the standard maintenance issues
Once they are torqued they tend to stay tight and bolts do not seem to stretch
I haven't seen one these Spyderlock bolt break yet. (This is very common on other beadlock Rims)

Any Back space is Fine and a none issue for 33s and 60s.

I have not had good luck with O rings in my Rims And have not been able to find a replacement o'ring at True value.(They are HUGE)

Torque specs
Boils down to two different designs and 15 bolts vs 24 bolts.

With all that said Thay are both nice rims and Both have pros and cons

What fits your Needs beter

Thanks for your answers, since my wife has a word to say (I decided on the D60) it seems that we are heading towards the spyderlock...

But I like to share experiences since I don't want to mess up.
