Default Squeak...heim joints? opinions wanted

So I have what i think is a suspension squeak, and I know I'm going to get 100 "It's a Jeep thing...deal with it" replies, but I want to know if my suspicions are correct.

When moving down the road slowly (<30 mph) I can often times hear a short, but loud, squeak. It usually happens after a longer drive, not when I first get in and start going somewhere. If I stop and open the door and stand on the door jam and rock the jeep, it will squeak once, but then it stops. My guess, is that it's a heim joint repositioning itself...but I'm not sure. Thoughts?

full traction arms are not known for being the most quiet out there. Do you have an older FT kit? You are sure that it isn't a U-joint squeezing right? You still have your factory DS? Some of those FT arms had some crap poly bushings in them, I think they will send you some replacements for free. PM hanson.

Still have Factory DS. Not sure about the U-joint...it's hard to pinpoint the sound when the Jeep is in motion. My FT lift is about 10 months old, will they be sending me more crappy bushings or will the replacements be better?

Yeah, they squeek more when they get hot. It is not uncommon to ahve squeeks in summer and not winter. Either take the joint apart and lube generously all parts with a synthetic high temp grease or some people prefer a marine grade grease, or as soneone else stated spray the joing with a lubercant from the outside. The spray in my experince only last until the next rain or a couple of weeks at the most.

On mine, it doesn't matter how much grease I squeeze into the grease nipple, I have to take it apart and manually grease every peice by hand. That usually last 6 - 8 months for me.

Check your track bar mounting brackets on your axels. I was hearing a sqeak for a while and what ended up happening was the bracket ripped off. The stock track bar brackets are really weak and need to be reinforced if you have a lift.
