Default Squeeky passenger seat!!!

This seat is driving me absolutely mad! I'm still under warranty from the dealer but it's like two weeks to get in then I miss out on a full day of cruisin in the sun! I checked the bolts that hold it down but I think it's in the seat? Maybe a spring? Anyone had this problem?

How funny to see someone else with the issue. My driver seat squeaks and moans so bad! It sounds like an old recliner. Mine is a 2012 and it is so loud and does it every time I move in the seat. I asked my wife “do you take a vehicle in for a squeaky seat or is that to stupid a reason” It’s hard to believe how much noise that seat makes! I tried to look under it but can see anything. To me it sounds like it has to be right in the seat springs!! I’m glad to see someone else with the problem, maybe more people will chime in!!

Had the same problem with my drivers seat. brought it into the dealer and told me "maybe you shouldnt be offroading and thats why its squeaking" Im a 140lbs and couldnt belive i got that as a response from the tech. needless to say i never went back to that dealer again...
Anyways regarding the issue ive heard other members had the dealership replace the seat tracks which fixed the issue. I just sprayed my seat tracks down with WD40 and that fixed the issue for me

i have the same issue. mines not all the time but when it does happen it pisses me off big time! ill try wd-40 too and hope it helps. mines a 12 with like 8k miles with minimal offroading under its belt so i think its just a defect or poor craftsmanship in the seat department.

I had this problem in my 2006 jeep patriot and also have it in my 2008 Wrangler unlimited. I resolve the problem when it returns by simply moving the seat to another position then move it back to my desired location. I suppose it works because it 'distributes' the grease due to the motion in the tracks. Give that a try and let us it know if it works.

Thanks for all the posts! I tried the WD-40 and no luck. I think the actual problem is inside the seat? I moved it around a whole bunch and just ended up frustrated with the damn thing, so I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow for a "repair under warranty" and they better not say anything about off roading cause that's what these vehicles are made for!! Haha I'll let u know how it goes!
