Take a look at some of the new JK's pics that Adams Jeep in Aberdeen, Maryland sells. They setup alot of new JK's with the SRT8 knock offs in both black and gray.

Yes. Read this. It will explain "backspacing" and the other terms you'll hear a lot in reference to tires/wheels. Definitely take a good long look at the diagram.

The backspacing on stock wheels is about 6.25". To place the tires outside of the fenders for that wider stance that many feel looks so good on Jeeps, you need to get wheels with about 4.5" of backspacing or add "spacers" to bump wheels with higher backspacing further out.

As for the pricing comments, tires for large diameter wheels are as a general rule much (much, much) more expensive than tires for smaller diameter wheels. Many folks elect to go with 16" wheels almost solely because they can buy new wheels and tires for less than the larger wheels alone. Compound that with the amount of money they save on tires over the years, and it's a no-brainer for many Jeepers. But, some love the larger wheels so to each his own.

They are 35 inch tires. Quadratec were the ones who told me that 20x10 would not fit. They didnt tell me why and I'm not mechanically inclined enough to question what they said.

i mean all you are saying the tires for them are gonna be expensive but the other rims i am looking at are rockstars... dont know why tires for these would be more expensive then tires for rockstars.
If you've looked up pricing on the 20" offroad tires, and are okay with it, the choice of wheels (be it SRT OR ROXSTRS) is solely up to you.

Backspace is not bad. It is a measurement of how far the wheel sits away from the hub. 4" of backspacing is farther than 6" of backspacing. If you plan on running 37s you will not be able to get away with 6" of backspacing unless youre running cookie cutter tractor tires. As far as pricing goes the smaller the rim the lower the price. It does not matter if the tire is smaller in diameter as much as rim size when it comes to pricing. If you want the SRT style rims then plan on spending a lot more money.

The 20x9's are only 6.34 of backspacing so better than the 20x10's so they should be closer to that wider stance. Also, wider tires will also help in the wider stance though they will costs more.

So budget an extra $200 per set of tires you buy, and that's just trail grapplers. Other tires may be more or less expensive.

That's a good example, but most tires are an even greater difference! Prepare to spend a LOT more - and they offer less sidewall protection when offroading so I hope you want these for a mall setup rather than a trail set up. an 18" rim offers 1" more tire all the way around. A 17" rim is 1.5" more tire all the way around.
