Default starting to mod and need advise

hello all,
i have been putting some money aside over the past few months to start doin up my jk unlimited sahara, there is only one thing. i live in the middle east were modifying your car can be frowned upon by the local authorities unless your local and are filthy rich which i am neither.

the problem is with anything which is over the top mods like putting a hug lift kit on and massive tyres etc basically anything which makes your car stick out like alot, daily this is not a problem but its when it comes to taxing your car which is when the car is 3 years old. if the car looks too heavily modified then they will not tax your car and then you cant drive it basically, sucks but its the way it is here.

anyway this brings me onto my point. i am wanting to mod my car in a way that i can unbolt what ever is on show, by myself and do everything within a day. so i have a list of things i plan on buying and if there is anything else you guys think i should get then please let me know, cheers!

roof light bar
bumper light bar
front and rear diff guards/sliders
steering guard/slider
1.5"wheel spacers
i am uncertain about new wheels and tires as i want a some chunky ones but dont no if i should go bigger than the stock ones incase they rub.
also wanted some pocket style fender flares but with running stock tires i dont think it will look right as i can only find really wide fenders.
tubular half doors for front and back
cargo net cover for roof and back
misc diamond plating ( bonnet and tail gate protector)
k&n intake( no need for a snorkel as im not gonna run into any large areas of water in the desert ! lol
superchips tunner

i think thats it, i would love to put a lift kit on but i think that is pushing it with the authorities. but everything should be a straight bolt on bolt off job.
anything else you guys can think of which would be a good idea? im using the jeep as my daily driver and will be going out in the desert every other weekend so majority of the time its gonna be on the road.

cheers guys

The roof light bar is pretty good. You can alway wire all the lights together and have one plug to release when taking off for the day.

Same as the bumper light bar. You probably wouldn't need to worry about taking it off.

Diff gaurds, as long as you don't get shiny ones, you shouldn't need to worry as well.

They won't know you have 1.5" wheel spacers unless you get the blue or red ones, or you tell them.

Many people run stock size tires of different brands that are meatier. With new Wheels, you may not need the wheel spacers if they have 4.5" Back Spacing.

Tube half doors are a good idea. Search around and find the style you like best.

Cargo nets are good. They range from cheap (Smittybilt CRES) to extremely awesome COP4X4 Nack Attack.

Most CAI are the same, I use K&N air filter.

Tuner is a great idea.

Regarding the lift, you can look into a Leveling Kit. Improves stance without drawing too much attention.

thanks for the reply,i was thinking of the doing the same with the roof light bar as i have seen how easily they bolt on and off.

and your right about the bumper light bar, as i have seen some in the showroom fitted already so they may just let that slide.

i might just spray the diff guards and steering guard matte black to try and get it to fit in and im sure after a few months of sand and genral crap off the raods sticking to them they'll blend in lol dont get too much rain out here so dont need to worry about them being cleaned lol

i had a look at the spidertracks spacers and they are actually 1.75" but like you said i dont think they will notice again i may just spray the outsides of them so the match the alloys as brand new they are bright blue.

i found an awesome set of tube doors which come with a cargo style neeting for about $600 for all 4 but i also found some half doors like the stock ones i have on my yj, which are more expensive but look really good, so not sure if ill have to spend more of decide on one or the other.

the cargo net im looking at it is from safari straps and cover whole top and back including the sort of side windows when the roll cage goes down and its $400 but ill have a look at the smitty built ones.

ill check out the leveling kit as well as it sounds like a good idea.

thanks for all the help

cheers
