I AM ABOUT 3/4 FINISHED WITH MY LIFT.

Today i got the rear suspension finished, installed my AFE y-pipe (my afe kit was missing the heat shield materal), had my COOPER STT tires mounted and got started on the driver's side front suspension (coil installed and stock parts removed). SO FAR it has been a really install but working on a 12 with 1600 miles helps a ton. Tomr i hope to get both coils in, shocks/brackets put on and maybe the high steer kit installed. Friday i plan on getting the alignment and tire carrier installed. Then maybe install the corner guards sunday lol. Lots of work lol. The jeep looks kicka$$ with the stt tires and black savegre wheels installed on the rear though. Cant wait to see it complete.

Interested in seeing more as I will be doing most the same in a few weeks. What made you go with the STTs? I can't make up my mind on tires, but I'm leaning toward Hankook Dynapro MT at the moment. STTs are second on the list.

i had the STT on my 98 TJ in 31x10.50x15s and really liked them. They do well on the highway and are really quite on pavement for a MT. Plus a big reason is i just love the looks of these tires! My best friend has 33" STTs on his TJ and wheels it pretty hard and has zero issues with them. The only thing i noticed today was the STTs were kinda hard to balance. They needed what seemed to be a lot of weight to balance ( never had a 35" tire so no past exp on how hard they are to balance lol). The guys on the shop rotated tires a few times on the wheel on two of them i think. All the weights were placed on the back side of the rims. The installers did not seem to worried about how they balanced. They took their time and just said that the size/weight (78 lbs each i think ) just made them a little tougher to balance.
