Default Steering damper question

2-1/2" lift with 35's. Will replacing my steering damper help with windy days? Its like driving an 18 wheeler on windy days.

NO, ITS A BOX, NOT A VETTE. BIG FLAT PANELS = LOTS OF WIND RESISTANCE.

What is your Caster set at? And how is your steering geometry looking?

I've had stock, Skyjacker, Teraflex, and now Bilstein stabilizers. Nothing helps on windy days. Makes me understand why 18 wheelers are sometimes all over the road. Not very aerodynamic.

The steering dampener has nothing to do with you getting tossed around in the wind. If your alignment is off, it can make the wind feel worse than it is. But the truth is, we all get hit hard when the wind blows.

steering stabilazer has nothing to do with wind..... our car is not aerodynamic, thats all. Setting your caster after a lift will reduce the flightly feeling you have on the steering wheel which makes wind feel worse, especially in high speeds.

Your front suspension geometry is out of wack. I have a 4" lift on mine and I am all over the road on windy days. I will be fixing it with a full set of TeraFlex adjustable control arms. You may only need front lower adjustable control arms to set your caster. If you don't have an adjustable front track bar, I would get one. Your front axle may be shifted due to the lift. An adjustable track bar will fix that. Keep us updated on your progress.
