steering pump leaking!!

Default steering pump leaking!!

Steering pump started to leak the other night out of bottom by pitman arm just out of warranty I do have a 4" Rancho lift but it has drop pitman arm any ideas I see jeep is almost a grand and through rock auto 100 bucks rebuild what is everyone doing???

!!! I had no idea they cost that much, mine just blew up at the 3k mark, so it was covered under warranty. That sucks

Just to be clear it sounds like your steering gear box, not pump. You could possible just have a loose steering line. Try tightening them. Not a cheap solution if you have to replace. I thought would be to get with West Texas Offroad and do the hydro kit. They will rebuild your box and provide lines and ram for $500. You can even just cap off the ports if you don't want to do hydro yet and sell the lines and ram. Just a thought.

It is a sterring box checked lines they are tight leaks right out the bottom sucks for me I believe
