Default steering stabilizer

anyone know of a performance steering stabilizer that will work on a jk with no lift or if its possible. was told i had to get a 2 inch lift for any performance stabilizer to work. just wanna know if their trying to get me to buy some stuff i didnt actually NEED.

No need for any performance steering stabilizer, unless the stock one is bad and even so you don't need to opt for anything more than an inexpensive one such as the one from Teraflex. It'll get the job done and if it doesn't, the problem was more involved than a bad steering stabilizer.

If your stock one is bad and you are under warranty there is an upgraded one that the dealers are putting on. I just got one on my Rubi

well i guess i should have mentioned this but im goin with 33x13.5 15's. apparently adding 300 pounds of tires might mess somethin up. thats what i was told anyways.

The stock stabilizer is already designed for 32" tires (~70 Lbs per rim+ tire), so it should readily handle the 33" tires since you are only adding an extra 10-30 lbs.

never thought about it like that. just figured that 75lb tires and a steel wheel would throw it off a little but ill try out the stock one and if it trashes it ill spend the cash on a 2 inch lift and i like the look of the dual RC ss. thanks guys.. i love this forum!

These guys are right. You don't need to replace or upgrade unless your stock one is bent and/or leaking. And believe me, if you wheel even moderatley you will end up smacking it on something!

I like my teraflex SS. Dont even notice it being there and it is cheap $$
