Default Steering Stabilizer

Quick Question

Im going on an 800 mile trip and my steering stabilizer has a bent rod and honestly doesn't work any more. Its been messing up my driving for a few weeks now. If i take it off. Would i be good for the trip? I realize i would be feeling very bump in the road.

If your steering and suspension is correct the steering stabilizer or lack of one should not make a lot of difference. Up until this weekend I have been running without one for about 5 or 6 weeks.

Mine was toast for the longest time and I did not even realize that the steering stabilizer was the issue. So, yeah you will be fine as others have mentioned.....but....once I replaced it, the Jeep felt like new again.

Call David at Northridge, he had some of the Teraflex ones in stock. I got mine and it's a much stronger upgrade from stock.

I agree, get the wobble fixed the stabilizer is more of a comfort thing...

LIttle high jack here in the interest of steering stabilizers... When I was changing my oil the other day I noticed that my SS was leaking... Only a few months old, relocated with an after market relocation bracket (don't think I name here). The bracket is bent, and the SS is leaking, enough that the oil is all over everthing etc. I had been wondering about the wandering I was experianceing, now I know what it is. Any suggestions on a good STRONG relocation braket? I am hesitant to buy a high dollar deal and I feel that even with the relocation etc. it is in harms way... Suggestions...

Thought was to change to the Rancho relocation with a TF SS. The rancho seems to have a C type bracket where the one I have now is flat stock.

Maybe I make my own?

Thoughts/ Suggestions
