Default Steering stabilizer question

So as you can see I have the stock one replaced by one from skyjacker. However a buddy of mine and myself think it may be backwards. Then I wondered if it really makes a difference???? Any thoughts? Thanks guys!

The skyjacker is huge compared to the stock one so you better relocate it with a bracket to the top of your tie rod.

hope to see some educated response than mine...

i bent the stock stabilizer forming an angle that hit some base that didn let me turn right more than 5 grades, i removed the stabilizer, hammered it to get it lite more straight then reinstalled in the inverted possition to avoid rubbing. been driving like this since december withoure problems, but most of the oil went out when hit and i went to 35" so it is really soft right now, ordered a jks stabilizer with its reloation kit hope to install it soon.

i know some guys with TJs that does not have a stabilizer at all...

Judging by your experience and what I've seen. I don't think orientation really matters. Either way I think it does it's job which is to reduce bump steer. ???? If anyone wants to post pictures that might be really helpful!

Contact Bret with jeepswag.com, he is on the forum and his relocate kit is the deal.
I ran with out stabilizer until wife went to drive on highway, she did not care for it so I contacted Bret and problem solved.

If the stabilizer performs the same while operating in both directions, then mounting position would be determined by how best to secure the main body so it doesn't move. My guess is that flipping the aftermarket unit is necessary for clearance during full compression of the suspension. As long as the stroke of the stabilizer is not comprised by the relocation, and the body does not interfere with other parts of the linkage in that area, it should perform well.

Yes you can purchase this bracket, for less than 25$ you can have a good one. Everything else looks good in your picture.

Good luck
