My local Jeep Shop told me that if you needed a steering stabilizer something else wasn't right with your lift, tires, steering etc. that it was a band aid? I was thinking of getting one. I have a budget boost (Rubicon Express w/ Mono Tube Shocks) with 35's and its a little rough and squirrelly on rough / bumpy roads but he talked me out of it? Was his info correct?

I am running 33's and a 3.5" lift.....installed the Rough COuntry dual stabilizers.....a lot of people told me it would be overkill but it really makes a difference....my tires are 10ply so it was really stiff....this has helped make things a little nicer! Definitely worth the money!!!

I got the Fox SS. I can tell a huge difference. I never had problems before, but the new SS tightened the steering, giving me (at least the feeling of) a lot more control.

Terra Flex for about 50 bones does the Job for me. As stated above if you have a problem fix that first...I ran my stock one completly blown out of oil...I put the new TF unit in and could'nt really tell a difference on the road. Offroad it helped with some bumb steer..

I also have the RC dual kit.

You shouldn't get a steering stabilizer just to cover up other issues. However, a good SS will help with vehicle control and to take solid axle roughness out of the steering system. Kinda like the shocks in your suspension system: you don't need them, but they sure make the ride and handling better!

I'm running the stock stabilizer with a huge hole blown in the bottom. Seems to function about the same as new. I'm not sure I'll ever replace it.

I have the RC Dual as well. It really does make a difference. I took them off and ran with no stabalizer and you can really tell the difference. Some people say it dont do anything but from my actual testing it does...

They have lasted me quite a while. they are all banged up from wheeling with minor scratches but I am thinking about painting them Red to match my shocks anyway!
