May I suggest Woods 4XFIX steering stabilizer relocation. The stock unit is great for tires up to 35's and there are some running the stocker on 37's.

This kit allows you to use the inexpensive and essentially free stabilizer that comes with your Jeep. Check this out.

If you relocate it like I did, this wont happen.

I went with the superlift. It's very strong and comes with relocation hardware. Also, here is the link to a post I used to select mine: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/need-steering-stabilizer-recommend-40497/

So... basically it just moves the unit up out of harms way?

so if relocation was the key reason, why would one need aftermarket?

edit: does it stabilize the steering to a greater degree from this position--or is it just to relocate?
