Default Steering stabilizer travel

OK, so I busted one of my stabilizers (I have the RC duel setup) and I'm looking to change to something different. Does anyone know how long of a travel I need? I ask because I think mine may have busted when I turned the wheel all the way to one side. Ive noticed that Fox, Bilstein and others offer different lengths. I don't want to get a short one and have the same problem.

Thanks
