Default Steering stabilizers

I have a 2008 JK and have added 33" Tires and a 2.5" coil spring spacer lift. I am going to put a steering stabilizer on but not sure which one. There are so many to choose from. Any suggestions from experience? Should I get new shocks at the same time?

Thanks,

I have the Teraflex one and like it.

If you happen to smash that one make sure you hang on to the OEM for back up, as they are hard to find @ the local autoparts stores...

Thanks,
if your stock steering stabilizer isn't bad, just stick with it. there is no need to replace it if it's not damaged.

so you really don't need to replace it if you get a lift? What about shocks?

no. technically, so long as your suspension and steering are dialed in correctly, you don't need a steering stabilizer at all. hell, i've driven over a thousand miles without one running 37's and a 4.5" coil over lift and without any problems. don't get me wrong, it's nice to have one in place but, upgrading it to something better is far from necessary.

as far as shocks go, if you didn't install shock extensions with your lift, yes, having new longer shocks is something you should get as they will allow among other things, more suspension travel.

Thanks,
Here is another option for you if you decide to upgrade in the future.
The Rancho stabilizer part number RS5407.
The mounting kit is part number RS5510.
As with all of our products comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
It is often best to upgrade when you get into larger tires (35"+), but not always necessary as wayoflife mentioned.

Good luck in your choice.

I only replaced mine because my stock one got crushed on a rock. I replaced it with the Bilstien HD steering stabilizer and have no complaints about it

I got the terraflex stabilizer and i did not take away the shimmy in the steering wheel. For all of you who are happy with the results given by a stabilizer did it take away the wobble?
