Default Steering Stablizer

Looking for a new ss that will work well with my Rock Krawler tie rod. I was going to go with Teraflex but I was told that I should look for something a little smaller in diameter. Fox..Jeep Swag...another factory?? Suggestions please.

Why a smaller diameter? A TeraFlex stabilizer works in the stock location or with a Jeep Swag kit.

Are you looking for a dual stabilizer kit like the Rough Country 2.2 or just a drop in replacement that is more heavy duty? The Woods relocation kit is also another option.

Some forum members do the upgraded Woods relocation kit & stabilizer combo from Jeepswag and swear by it.

Smaller in diameter because of rubbing issues with your tierod?

Thats the route I was going to go with the Jeep Swag relocation kit. Any issues with the Rock Krawler tie rod?

The TF with the Jeep Swag kit works great--can't say about the Rock Krawler tie rod, but works great with the stock tie rod. I went with the TF because folks had posted of problems with the Fox and the Jeep Swap kit (long time ago; those may or may not have been resolved).

If you don't want the TF SS, consider the OME unit.

Both the Teraflex SS and the KYB should be fine with the Rock Krawler Tie Rod. They are both smaller diameter than most, but strong enough to deal with what the JK throws at it.

All relocated steering stabilizers are going to rub a little. I haven't seen any reall problems with them though. It's a Jeep thing.

BTW, the part that causes the largest problem here, is the track bar. If you have a track bar that goes around the front of the diff cover, then you will get more rubbing. A track bar that goes up and over is much better.
