Steering Stablizer????
I was wanting to get the skyjacker HD steering stabilizer when I get my 2.5BB (Teraflex). I called quadratec yesterday and asked them about the lift and stabilizer. The man I talked to said that there is no need to upgrade the steering stabilizer if I'm not having problems with steering.
So should I not upgrade?
Or was the guy I was talking to an complete idiot. He didn't even know there was a steering stabilizer available and he didn't know that much about the lift kits they sold.

Check the T.S.B.'s to make sure the stock one is in the correct orientation and don't bother changing out untill that one is chewed from impacts on the rod end. You'll know it's time when you get the OCCASIONAL funky steering condition at highway speeds (e.g. going down hill around a corner while changing lanes and hitting a pothole- at the same time) and there's some oil seepage from the rod seal.
No need to stick with all of one guy's products either 'cause the
superLift damper seems to be the better alternative I've come across.

I do not have a lift, but when I upgraded to 32" tires I started to have issues with the ESP. I read another post here that reported an improvement in that after upgrading to an aftermarket stabilizer. I noticed better steering feel right away with mine. It's a little stiffer than stock at the wheel, and I kinda like that. After seeing how small and cheap the stock stabilizer is, I don't regret it for a second. Besides it's a pretty cheap, bolt on upgrade and I am certain it will last much longer than the stock one ever would.
The jury is still out on whether my ESP issues will be a thing of the past, but even if it is still an issue I am glad I upgraded the stabilizer if only for the feel of it.
Just my .02
