Default Steering is terrible.

I bought a 2011 2dr jk sport it had a 4in lift I think. I'm very new to this. And 35's. I started getting a low speed death wobble,so I completely rebuilt the front end. And the steering is worse than it was. No wobble, it just wants to take off when it hits a rut in the road . Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

For me, hitting a pothole and having trouble is the ball joints. Having a bobblehead, floating feel to steering is hubs and bearings. Finally, I will check each shock to make sure one is not blown if everything else is good. I have been recently been thinking about increasing caster just to see if it makes any significant difference.

Rebuilt whole front end? What exactly did you rebuild and what parts did you use? 35’s new, what brand and if new were they mounted and balanced? I assume with a 4” lift you have adjustable control arms. Show some pics and did you get an alignment that you can post your results?

Reno, NV? Heck, just swing by TheDirtman's shop and he'll set ya straight. I'd guess there is no caster correction on that 4" lift and that ain't helping. If you happened to replace ball joints, new ones typically take a bit of time to break in.

As mentioned, pictures speak volumes. Hard to envision what you're working with otherwise.

Default Dirtmans shop

What is Dirtmans shop name. I'm new here. I changed out the hubs, tie rod, draglink, ball joints brakes. And yes I had it aligned, and rotated and balanced the tires. All Moog all brand new. Like I said I bought it with the lift and tires . So I don't know anything about the lift. Tires are falken a/t 35's. I don't have any pictures right now. Sorry. If you could get me to Dirtmans shop that would help. Thanks

Shoot @TheDirtman a PM. He's around regularly and should see the message. He doesn't talk about or promote business on the forums so I only know he's there in south Reno, but he's extremely knowledgeable and helpful so I have no doubt he'd help get you set straight.

May be bump steer. That much lift, you may want to install a drop Pitman arm, but check your steering stabilizer to ensure it is still working okay (some folks install an adjustable steering stabilizer and firm it up to "hide" bump steer). Here's an article on bump steer that may prove informative to you ...
