Has anyone out there removed the steering pin lock on a JK?

I tow my JK behind my MH year around.

I am looking for a way to eliminate the need to pull the fuse and reconnect it every time I hook up and unhook my JK.

the easiest solution is to remove the pin that locks the steering wheel - that way i don't have to pull the fuse or leave the key in the ignition.

a friend of mine in CA had a locksmith remove the pin. any help would be appreciated...
