Steering very stiff on stationary.
Hi all.II have a very weird problem with steering, on stationary, the wheel is extremely hard to turn right or left.
Big problem is that everything is new on my 2007 Jeep JK Rubicon:
I've changed steering pump with brand new original Mopar one.
I've changed steering box with brand new Psc OEM box (not big bore one)
Brand new complete Aev 3.5 inch kit
Brand new teraflex tie rod
Brand new panhard rod teraflex
Brand new high Steer Drag Link flip AEV
Brand new HD ball joints Teraflex
Brand new Bfgoodrich 33 inches A/T tires.
Brand new steering damper Bilstein.
Even after changing all of these, still wheel is very stiff when trying to turn left or right with engine on, but stationary. If I put car in drive and roll it few inches, I can turn wheel easy.
This problem I had it obviously also before doing these upgrades, with stock pump and Steer box, and a previous OME 2.5 inch kit.
I find it hard to believe that the brand new original OEM Mopar pump has same defect as previous one, also find it hard to believe that brand new Psc Steer box is defectuos as well.
What else can be? To make a joke, at this moment I think is something paranormal 😅

The teflon linings in those power steering lines have been known to slip and block the passage. since this was a problem before AND after the upgrades, that power steering line from the pump to the box sticks out in my head as 1 item that did not change. With the jeep rolling it's going to be easier turning that wheel, just like when we didn't used to have power steering in the old days. this does not seem like any binding in the steering system to me, rather an issue with the fluid traveling to/through the box.
