Default Steering wheel insert

Anybody here paint their steering wheel insert silver (2012 sahara) to match the vents..also how hard is it to remove it..

yea there have been some people who painted them, one did red to match the outside, looked slick, im sure they just pop off.

I found this, Not my words.
"There is one bolt on each side of the steering wheel. Those two bolts remove the entire airbag system. Then there are three screws that hold each section of the steering wheel togther. Those are located on the back of the steering wheel. Once the Airbag system is out you will sell 5 more screws, take those out and the entire steering wheel trim with controls will come out."

While they make this sound easy, anytime I read "remove air bag" my sphincter tightens up. Those are clock spring wires hanging out of there too, very delicate I've been told.

You are right about that...sounds like pita...never mind ....just have to move on to next project
