Default Steering Wheel issues

Hey guys,
I got my 3.5 lift installed last week and I've been noticing some thing about it I wasn't sure about. I picked it up and the steering wheel was straight no problem there. By the time I got it home it was off center to the right just slightly. I checked the drag link and everything is tight so I know the adjustment sleeve isn't the issue. But when driving through town hitting a bump in the road the steering wheel will go from being perfectly straight to turned to the right about the 2 o'clock position. The jeep tracks straight and it doesn't really effect my driving other than having a small "dead spot" in my steering when it decides to change positions. Any idead?
Thanks in advance,
Ray

Watch the first youtube video at the beginning of my Diagnosing DW write-up thread. It is likely trackbar related.

It is probably the result of a poor install and you need to loosen all the control arm and trackbar bolts, vigorously rock the vehicle, and torque everything to spec.

Some 3.5" lifts are low quality and poorly designed. Which one did you get?

I got the rock krawler 3.5 x factor. I'll take a look and try that out today. Thanks

Did you change out the tires or just lift your Jeep?

Well good news. I loosened everything in the front and shook the hell out of it. The front track bar wasn't hard to loosen as I only needed a smaller 1/2 in rachet... I tightened it all down as close to torque as I could get it (not sure how accurate my torque wrench is). Took it for a drive and it helped a ton. Thanks for the help guys!

Edited... I had some suggestions but, it seems as though you may have it sorted.

I had the same problem. Very easy to fix. Check out the "Re-centering your steering wheel" Part of this link Basic Do-it-Yourself Jeep JK Wrangler Front End Alignment

The dead spot was due to a loose trackbar bolt that would slide back and forth in the bracket bolt hole as the steering system pushed against it.
