Is it normal for the steering wheel to get off center after going off roading?

Yep, lots of folks saying the same thing. Even though nothing looks bent, it's a good bet that something is. Tie rod, 'C', hard to tell unless you really know what you're looking for I guess. (mine is off from an offroad trip also, and I don't see what is bent either...)

Mine did the same thing, check your steering stabilizer, mine had moved and was pulling the wheel just a little to the right. I re-centered the SS and the wheel was straight again. Check the stabilizer

Yeah, i also noticed that my steering wheel is off a little after off roading. I looked underneath and nothing looks bent. I even compared it to another jeep. I never looked closely at the steering stabilizer though. Ill check it out tomorrow. I dont undrstand how it would pull the steering.

My steering stabilizer is bent, i just got a new one yesterday (didn't put it on yet). I don't really see how that would make the steering wheel turn...

I am bettting that your tie rod is bent. If your ESP ligt came on after an offroad trip, and your wheel is off center too...most likely the tie rod. Have the code read at your local Advance Auto center and I will bet it is an "alignment code" Has happened to me 2 times now. Last time was at JK fest. Drove 2 days with a bent tie rod and ESP light... put on a new tierod in the parking lot (thanks to River Raider) and the esp light went off on the way home. It doesnt take much for that FLIMSY thing to bend. Good luck.
