Default Step Suggestions

looking for ideas here.

I have 4 inches of lift and 33 inch tires (hoping to go to 35s) with Terraflex rock rails which are great.

the problem is that this thing is getting harder and harder to climb into, even for me and I am 6 feet tall. My wife really has a hard time, and forget about my kids.

I am looking for ideas for steps that can be removed for off roading (so they don't get shredded and ripped off like my stock plastic steps).

Has anyone had any great ideas that are workable and look good too?

I have the olympic reversa-bars--i got them from 4wd.com. The can be installed down as a step or reversed to give rocker protection when off road. Takes a bit of a pounding with a rubber mallet to flip them over though, but it was the best option for us. I too have kids. They can get in and out of the jeep fine when they are in the down position. Pretty solid too, i have the rock rash on them to prove it.

teraflex makes a nice side step/rockrail. I'm looking forward to getting mine soon.

Those look great, and I love my terraflex rock sliders, I just need something that can hang lower, but be removable for the trail.

My g/f is 5'3". I have 3" lift and 35" tires and Shrockworks rocker guards. She turns sideways and grabs the top roll bar...then "jump and pull". Very little effort and her butt is in the seat. She loves to do it too.

When I am being "gentlemanly", I grab the front of her pants and help her with the lift (jump) part.

No steps needed.

Default Rock Hard Rocker Guards

I have the Rock Hard Rocker Guards http://www.quadratec.com/products/12065_2000.htm going on next week. They should be very solid and still provide a 4" step.

Default shrockworks rock rails

I would vote for shrockworks, very durable for off road and can use as a step as well.
