I use the square-ish ones (3 corners are square, the 4th is kinda rounded) and put them in the lower outside corners of the mirrors. They work great.

I was also thinking about buying these never had them before but my friend had square ones on his scion, so round or rectangle would work better?

Round-bottom left driver side.Never really thought about it but technically I think this may have been my first Mod.

I also have mine mounted on bottom left corner, and mounted on the vents for when I'm doorless

Def bottom outside corners and round style. I opted for adjustable ones though, allows me to get the perfect angle to cover all blind spots.

Does the heated mirrors make the glue "unsticky"? I have heated mirrors and don't have them since I thought it might happen...
