What's the point? They look bad ass but do they provide a function?

I believe it serves a purpose as in the event of your vehicle flipping over, the stinger sticking above your hood would prevent from crushing your hood and taking out your radiator and other important things..

Helps in a roll over but in my case when the stinger hits the rocks before my tires it tells me "Hey dumbass that's too intense for you!" lol

I just got mine put on yesterday with a winch. I hope it saves my radiator in the event of an "indo". I like to push myself/rig, so if this does happen, I can hopefully drive off the trail.

Its definitely for steep descents, to keep the ass end from coming over the front

Mine keeps people from cutting me off. Hasn't happened once since I got it. Plus it looks like a giant bona.
