Default stock bumper??????

well i took my jk of the apvement yesterday and i must say that i just put it in 4-lo disconected the sway bar and let it crawl down the trail. i went over rocks up a shallow stream- and ofcourse some mud...and left the camera at home

but when i got home and used my new power washer i noticed that the front driverside bumper had a huge dimple. and of course its on the end where a there is a closed back... tried to drill a hole and push it out but the plastic was too stubborn... might try a heat gun....

the thing was i never remember hitting anything.. atleast not hard. stock bumbers are really that wimpy...

so which metal bumper uses the stock fog lights?

I read a story in magazine where someone reformed a JK fender flare with a torch. I bet a heat gun or mild torch heat would fix a bumper too.

You can fix it with a heat gun (like for stripping paint), an eye bolt and a hand winch (come-along). Put the eye bolt through the hole you drilled. use a large washer and a nut to secure the bolt. Attach the eye bolt with a chain or rope to the hand winch and then the winch to something that is big and fixed (tree, hitch on another vechicle). From the inside of the bumper heat the area with the heat gun until it just starts to soften. Be careful not to melt the plastic. Wth it hot use the hand winch to pull the plastic to shape. It might take a few tries to get it all the way out. Go easy. I did this to fix the rear bumper corner on my KJ when I backed into to stump.
