Because it would sit VERY low to the ground. I'd rather have it up above the bumper. I use the hitch for other rack mount stuff and want the winch permanently mounted. Best of both.
I really wanted that in bunker mount. Looks great!
Just never found it and it won't work with the hitch. Oh well. All done. Now need time to mount the winch and wire it up.

Got ours mounted behind the stock bumper which we stubbied with RC end caps.

Works great and doesn't cost a fortune.

That was my final decision. Bumper mount. Just modify the hitch and the vacuum pump to accommodate all of them together. Still all bolt on!

I was wondering the same thing. I want to install a winch like this but everything I seen says that the sway bar disconnect system gets in the way...
