Stock bumper winch mount
Some of us have taken matters into our own hands and used a TJ plate to mount a winch into the stock bumper. All it takes is a drill, an angle grinder an appropriate repertoire of curse words to make it happen. Here's a link to the write up thread.

hey i have a brand new aries winch plate in my garage i will sell someone for 45.00$ it mounts to the frame then you just have to trim the top of bumper for the winch. there is a thread on here about them but i can`t find. the reason i didn`t use was i had ordered an olympic winch plate also and was told it was on backorder so i cancelled (so i thought) and ordered the aries they both came in the same day so i used the oylmpic one.
The stubby process is rather straight forward and easy; just remember not to cut off the integrated nuts that hold the plastic cover to the bumper (taping the outline took the longest due to the angles in the plastic; remember to tape straight and NOT follow the angles of the molded plastic).
I did mine (before buying a new bumper). The only thing I did different was NOT using the rivots. I simpy took a soldering torch with a chisel head and melted the plastic back together for a cleaner look (easier than the rivots too)!
Hope this helps. You can get the winch plate and make the simple mods without fabing a stubby if you prefer.
