stock drive shaft problems

Angry stock drive shaft problems

not sure what the new style drive shaft ends are called but they have a rubber seal holding grease in them and im not sure but i think that my 4" lift my be makeing them strip out so if anyone has any info about this or leasons learned i would love to hear your input

U need to replace the drive shaft with one from coast, j.e. reel or Tom woods. I went with j.e. reel for $500 bucks from 4wd.com and installed it my self. There is a write up on project jk.com

they are called cv shafts. The extreme driveline angle will cause the rubber cv boot to get pinched and torn, at which point they spit grease. You'll have to replace them with aftermarket shafts

Yep once you go over 2.5" lift or so, driveshafts should be on your mod list. I have front and rear tatton shafts for sale for a 2 door. Good price if you are interested.
