Default stock front track bar busted

Scary moment while turning off the highway the other day...I tapped the brake and started to turn left...the "ESP" kicked in and the jeep kept going straight. Thank goodness there was no traffic heading my way as I moved into the other lane. Needless to say, roadside assistance helped to tow my jeep to the dealer and they hooked me up with a rent-a-car. After examination, the track bar was busted and had to be sent off to be reinforced and welded. They will be doing an alignment tomorrow and I will get it back. Now, they haven't mentioned whether or not the FT 2" BB will have any impact on the warranty...

Has anyone else had an incident like this?

Sooo the dealer sent your trackbar off to be reinforced and welded? I hope that isn't correct. If this is an OEM part, they "should" be giving you a new part, not modified. I'm either not understanding the story, or it is in fact the trackbar mount or aftermarket bracket

Yes, I was/am using the relocation bracket. But, the stock bracket is the one that busted. That's why I am curious about the warranty...

From what i was told when i call regarding voiding my extended warrenty is that they have to be able to prove that the lift was the cause of the failer. That was what the warrenty division told me not a dealer.

I will get some more info tomorrow...it's past my bedtime(waiting on the drawing for the bumper)...I will clarify then...maybe with some pics to help with what I am trying to say. I will ask about what you said, though...

I hope they are re-enforcing the track bar mount and not the track bar itself! I would not trust a fixed/patched track bar!
