I removed mine and put on a Flowmaster Delta 50. It sounds good, and I got a little better response when I put my foot in it. I also dont have that big old chunk of metal hanging down. $180.00 bucks installed.

I had mine done, and it sounds great. I can't remember what brand was put under it, but it was tucked up under the frame and cleaned up the rear end nicely. I couldn't stand how much the stock muffler stood out.

Yeah when you remove it, it actually sounds good. while installing the gibson i turned the jeep on when he removed the muffler, sounded very nice and loud, but can't tell you exaclty how it was in open air, because i only turned it on under a rood so it was echoing. but it sounds good i would say.

I think he actually means REMOVED and not replaced with anything, just a pipe straight to the back.

An other answer might sound kewl but loss of power, todays engines are made to have backpressure.

When I removed mine I started it up I thought it sounded pretty good. I put an inline magnaflow in afterward. I didn't notice any performance increase though. But it does sound good with none or a magnaflow.
