Stock Rubicon Wheels!!
I just got my first Jeep. 2011 Unlimited 4dr Rubicon. I am a FJ guy myself. (2010 Trails Team 6 inch lift etc.etc. ) I bought my wife this Rubicon and she ofcourse wants a little lift and some tires.
My question is . ON the stock Rubi wheels. What lift can I get without having to get spacers. I was looking at the RC 3.5 lift or maybe a Teraflex. Only want to go 2.5-3.5 of lift to fit 35's later down the road. I dont want to take away fromn the stock ride!
Any suggestions would help me alot. Thanks

The spacers have nothing to do with lift. It has to do with clearing 12.5" wide tires. If you keep the stock tires on the stock rims then you'll be fine. When you get the 35s just get properly backspaced wheels.
Cool. Thats what I need to know. She wants to powdercoat her factory rims and get 35's. Just want to make sure the factory Rubi wheels will work with any lift..
I am not sure which kit is was. I think it came from either teraflex, benchmark or northridge on here, he said it was a custom kit that would make it level also. I helped a friend of mine install it on his rubi. I have the rubicon express 3.5 on mine and after we got done and took his for a test ride I was amazed at how smooth it was on bumps and railroad tracks, mine is not anywhere close to being as smooth as his. It even had the spring keepers so the coils can't fall out when you are flexing bigtime.
Only thing it didn't include was adjustable control arms and I would try to get those if you can because when the shop tried to do the alignment after we got done with his which didn't have those they had a very hard time trying to do it and they ended up installing some that they carried to get it to align correctly.

You can squeeze a 12.50" section tire onto the factory wheels. However, you will need at least 1.5" spacers to avoid rubbing on the front sway bar at anything approaching full steering lock. The alternative has already been offered... New wheels with 4.5" of backspacing.
