Default Stock Sway Bar Link??

Has anyone here ever lost their stock sway bar link? Just wonder how common this is or am the only dumb ass here.

I have a RE 2.0 coil spacer lift with RE monotube shocks. I didn't have the extra $$$ when i put the lift on to get the JKS disconnects I wanted. Out on a trail yesterday I lost a link. I was not disconnected at the time. Looks like too much stress which also bent the bottom bracket.

I hope it isn't going to be a problem getting the bent bracket straightened....

well, uhmmm, hate to say this dude, but yea i think you are the only dumbass i have heard of doing this

seriously, that does suck, u probably had a loose nut and running offroad while connected can put little more strain than usual. if something was loose, then snap it goes. u will need to get the bracket bent back out. it happen to me when i had the RE quicker disconects which i DO NOT recomend to get . i put a torch to the bracket and used a mallet, beat it back over, just be carefull not to hit too hard as you could bust the weld.

if you want to upgraded disconnects instead of stock, then i highly recomend the JKS disconects, and i feel alot of people on here will agree on that.

Is the other link still attached? Looks like you have a considerable down-angle on the swaybar. (which may just be the pic angle?)

There have been many posts about flexing with short links, flipping the swaybar around backward and pretzling the links/other components. Just a thought...

Yes, the other link is still attached.

Thanks for the info, I'll look around for those posts.

Fixed and better than the OEM links ever were. Very easy on and off. Just a light tap with a rubber mallet is all it takes. The hardest part of disconnecting is tying the sway bar in a horizontal position....

Re leaves the stock front links in place with the rebb. Big mistake, instead of includind new links for the rear and moving the rears to the front like the Tera bb does.I ran the re kit for a few months, then upgraded to a coil lift and quick disco's
