Default Stock vs Tuffy console

I just purchased a 2007 X which came with the mini console. I want to replace it but I need some input on whether to go with the stock full console or the Tuffy console. Any input or comments would be appreciated. I am leaning toward the Tuffy but the price is steep. Wish Tuffy would offer a better price to members.

I have the mini console as well. I've been half assed searching for a stock armrest console for almost a year and a half. I have found a few for sale, but they have either wanted WAY too much money for them or they were for an automatic (auto and 6-sp consoles are not interchangable). I checked into ordering the parts directly from Mopar, but once again the price was just stupid expensive. I can't see spending a bunch of money on the stock one because they feel cheap and flimsy. I would also then want to add some sort of padding to the armrest. If you want to go with the stock armrest, I'm thinking your best bet is to start calling around to local junk yards and see if you can find a wrecked JK.

I think I'm just going to hold out and see if I can't talk my fiance into getting me the tuffy for x-mas or my birthday.

Not necessarily so for finding a stock console. There are lots of folks who have removed the stock jobbers and replaced them with the Tuffy full console. They must do SOMETHING with the stock ones?? So, peruse the FREE section of the forum and look around. You might just find one. OR, I'd look around at some folks who do have a replacement console. PM them and ask them if they still have the stock one and want to get rid of it. I know mine is going the way of the dinosaurs just as soon as my new TUFFY full console gets here!!!!!!

Dude....I've been watching the classifieds like a hawk for a year and a half. They just don't show up, or if they do they are for an automatic. I don't know if people throw them on a shelf or throw them out, but they just don't usually show up.

On that note......is your Jeep an automatic or 6-speed, and what color is the interior? If yours is a 6-speed with a gray interior, then we might be able to work something out. I commute to Towson everyday, so I'm sure I could swing by and pick it up.
