Default Stock Wheel Question??

The stock wheels are 16s or 17s right and both are 7" wide? if so which wheel would better suite a 35" X 12.5'" Tires?

Thanks

The 17's are 7.5" wide. I think both will handle a 12.50 just fine fine. An 8" wheel would probably give you a "flatter" footprint, but you can save money by using the stockers. I am running 315/70-17 (35x12.50) Hankooks on my stock Moab wheels.

Does anyone have any pictures with the stock 16 inch wheels with larger tires and no lift? I want to add larger tires, but do not want to add wheel spacers or replace the rims just yet.

Thanks,

Joe

Search the my.project-jk.com pages. I guarantee you will find pictures of that combo somewhere.

I am very pleased with the tires. They ride smooth and are not too loud for an M/T. I only have 1000 miles on them so far, but I only paid $172 each for them so I will be happy with whatever mileage I get out of them. You will need spacers to run a large tire on the stock wheels. I am using the Spidertrax 1.5".
